Golden pillows
A leafy salty bite.
Preparation steps
- Dough: Mix flour and baking powder, then rub in fat. Add egg and lukewarm milk. When the dough is homogeneous, leave it to stand for about 30 minutes.
- Stuffing: Saute onion, paprika and bacon in oil. Add the meat and simmer until the liquid evaporates. Season (with, pepper, ground sweet and hot pepper, garlic). - Filling: Roll out the dough thinly (5 mm) and cut into identical squares (or the desired shape). Put a teaspoon of stuffing and cheese on a sheet of dough. Coat the edges of the dough with beaten egg yolk so that the leaves do not separate during baking. Fold the stuffing sheet with another sheet of dough. Press the edges lightly with a fork. Coat the pillows with egg yolk and sprinkle with cumin. Arrange in a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes at a temperature of 220 C. The pillows are baked when they become airy and golden in color.

Serve warm with yogurt or sour milk.
