Cakes with lard and cheese
Rich, full of taste, lard gives them that "something" ... They browse and they are not from the classic puff pastry..try it :)
- Knead the minced lard with the shredded cheese, add the egg, salt, and little by little the flour with the baking powder, to get a smooth and elastic dough.
- Leave it in the fridge for an hour. Roll out to a thickness of 1.5 cm and take out the cakes with a glass or a mold.
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees, grease the baking tray a little and arrange the cakes, coat each one first with unbeaten egg whites, then with a little oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds, press it a little so that it does not fall
- Put to bake, reduce the temperature to 220 and bake the cakes, until yellow. They will unfold on their own
You can put another cheese, not only feta, but do not change the fat with something else if you want this extremely rich taste. Like salci, this delicacy "does not tolerate" other fat. I mean, it can, but it's not that :) They are better cold.
