Buncek and baked potatoes

I am writing the recipe at the request of our dear Barbara26 ... It is very simple and exquisite ... I saw it in one show Food and Wine, so I made it from memory ...

Preparation steps

  • Cook the bun first. Put the buncek in a deep bowl, fill it with water and put the cleaned halved onion, garlic cloves, bay leaf and peppercorns in the water. Cook for about an hour and a half. Separate the cooked meat from the skin and bones. Save some water / soup in which the buncek was cooked.
  • Peel a squash, grate it and slice it. Grease a ceramic bowl with a lid (or if you have another one) well. Mix the spices to drop one tablespoon and season the potatoes with it. Transfer it to a pan, arrange pieces of meat on it, pour a little broth (a couple of tablespoons) cover and bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for about an hour.
  • If you don’t have a ceramic dish with a lid (nor do I), then I baked it in an ordinary dish and covered everything with aluminum foil and it turned out great.

Serving

Enjoy the buncek and of course pour a glass of good vinček over everything !!!!
