"Bugs" in syrup

This is an old Banat specialty that always reminds me of my childhood… There were no pâtés, sausages, pizzas and other things our children eat… But it was all "homemade" and unpolluted !!! When I find chicken stomachs, I make sure to prepare this dish… My daughter eats it too !!! Try: D

"Bugs" in syrup

Preparation steps

  • Wash the "bugs" well, cut them into smaller pieces and fry in heated oil for about 30 minutes at a medium temperature.
  • If necessary, add water so that they do not stick to the bottom of the sieve. After 30 minutes, add finely chopped onion, spices as desired and simmer until soft.
  • You can leave them without spray, and I always do with spray.
  • Add flour, a little ale pepper, ketchup and with the addition of water make the density of the sauce as desired. Stir for another 5 minutes and serve with your favorite salad and black bread.

Try it and you will be surprised how simple a meal can be delicious !!!
