Salty lokum or peximet
Quick, easy and very tasty. I always entertain my guests for breakfast with these delicacies, and of course compliments for a good and skilful hostess are there. The secret is that in 15-20 minutes you prepare a bunch of Turkish delight, and feed the army of hungry housemates.
Preparation steps
- In 600-700 g of flour put 150 ml of cream or sour cream, 200 ml of yogurt, 2 eggs, salt, 1 baking powder, and milk to knead a soft dough as for a pie.
- Then transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll out 0.5 cm thick, then cut into rhomboids and fry over medium heat in a pan with a little more oil.
- When the lokum leaves and turn yellow, they should be turned and fried on the other side as well. Lokumi fry very quickly and need a little dexterity when turning.
Serving
You can serve the delicacies with almost all breakfast items. I usually serve them with young cheese and sour cream
