Paul's cake
Pavlova is one of the most favorite meringue cakes. Originally from Australia, dedicated to the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova, she perfectly depicts her art and appearance. Gentle, white, light, prepared from meringue, fruit and whipped cream.
Preparation steps
- For meringues:
- Beattheegg whites into a stiff batter, gradually add the vanilla sugar and powdered sugar while stirring and finally the corn starch mixed with a little sugar and lemon juice.
- Pour the prepared meringue on a baking tray lined with baking paper that you have previously oiled and form a circle (Ø 22 cm). Bake in an oven preheated to 120 ° C for about 90 minutes.
- Leave the baked crust to cool in the oven. It must be crispy on the outside and retain a light color on the inside.
- Coat the meringue peel with whipped cream and spread sliced fruit on it. Let stand in the refrigerator for a while before serving.
- For the filling:
- Beat the sweet cream into the whipped cream, mix in the whipped cream fix, powdered sugar and fruit liqueur.
- Cut the fruit into smaller pieces, and you can chop some of the strawberries into a pulp and pour over the fruit (to make it juicier).
Serving
Slice the cooled cake and serve with a drink or main course.
