Paradise cake
I have been making this cake for about 15 years with undiminished pleasure. The recipe is from an old Dr. Otker's cook. It seemed complicated to make, but when it starts, it's not so scary and it's worth the effort.
Preparation steps
- Whisk the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, add the egg yolks, and in the well-kneaded flour add the baking powder. Divide the dough into two parts. Spread it in two trays measuring 28 × 38 cm. 2. Whisk the egg whites and spread over the dough
- Mix vanilla sugar, sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over egg whites
- Sprinkle with walnuts
- Bake at 180C for about 20 minutes. It should be well baked. It is firm to the touch.
- When it is baked, immediately shake it out of the pan. Cut the cooled one in half so that 4 crusts are obtained.
- Whisk the sweet sour cream with the sugar and whipped cream fix and add the fruit. Stir gently and fill the cake
- The filling is for three crusts and the top can be coated only with whipped cream or left with nothing.
Serving
According to the original recipe, the crusts are baked in round trays and the upper crust is not filleted. The pages are not smeared, but remain as they are filled so that the filling protrudes unevenly. It looks nice and so. The cake is best prepared for the day when it is eaten to keep the crust crispy.
