Krmenadli in Zagorje

This was the first main dish I prepared with the help of my favorite grandmother. Everyone likes it, so I hope you will too!

Preparation steps

  • POTATOES 1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. 2. Fill a deeper pan or thinly grease it and arrange the potato slices in several rows (Personally, I love potatoes stored in this way, so I stack them in 6 rows :)). 3. Peel an onion, cut it into slices and place it on the potatoes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley leaves and salt. 4. Pour warm chicken stock over the potatoes. If you do not have a stock, dissolve a soup cube in 2 to 3 dcl of water or boil a teaspoon of Vegeta. 5. Close the tray with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 200 degrees.
  • MEAT 1. Beat the chops a little with a mallet, salt and pepper. 2. Lightly fry them in oil or fat for a few minutes on both sides until they get a nice color, and leave them warm.
  • POTATOES 2 1. After 40 minutes of baking, remove the potatoes and carefully remove the foil. 2. Add the chops to the potatoes and cover well with foil. 3. Continue baking for another 20 minutes at the same temperature.
  • SAUCE If desired, prepare sour cream sauce! Finely chop the garlic and parsley leaves and add them to the sour cream and mix well. Add salt and pepper as desired.
