Corn maneštra

Can you recognize a real Carniolan sausage? We will give you instructions. It must contain at least 68% pork, 12% beef and a maximum of 20% bacon, and may be added a little water, garlic, salt and pepper.

Preparation steps

  • Boil the soaked beans briefly and drain.
  • Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry briefly. Drizzle with water, add the drained beans and continue to cook until the beans are soft.
  • Add the diced potatoes, corn, bay leaf, garlic and and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Finally, pepper, salt as needed and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Serving

Serve with sausages that you have cooked separately.

Advice

Instead of young beans, you can also use old ones that you have previously soaked overnight or a few hours before preparation.
