Zoja cake
I ate various variations of this cake. I even ate it at the Zoja patisserie in my town, whose specialty it is. But the most beautiful Zoja is made by my hairdresser Natasa, so I am passing on the recipe I received from her. Thank her. The reason for making this cake is my husband’s 50th birthday. He was looking for something chocolate :)
Preparation steps
- Whisk first 7 egg whites with a little salt (pinch). In another bowl, whisk the butter with the powdered sugar, then add all 7 egg yolks one by one. Then the melted chocolate is added. Now they add the egg whites, but so that they are mixed with a spoon, never with a mixer. When the egg whites are mixed, the ground Plasma biscuit is added, also kneading only with a spoon.
- From this amount, 4 crusts should be baked. I bake in a tray measuring 35x25 cm, and for one crust I pour 7 tablespoons of the mixture. I put baking paper. And then in the oven I grind the tin a little, then I pour the mixture. It is good when the tray is lukewarm, because the mixture melts a little, so it spreads easily on the tray. Bake at 150 degrees for about fifteen minutes. When baked, the crust will be hard, but don't worry, it will soften under the filling.
- The eggs are beaten with powdered sugar and it is then steamed. When cooked, add cooking chocolate. Allow to cool, then combine with the whipped butter, and finally add the roasted and ground hazelnuts.
- Whisk 1 liter of sweet sour cream with 4 teaspoons of sugar. Somewhere you can buy already sweetened sweet sour cream, so you don't need to sweeten it.
- It is thinned: crust, chocolate filling, then sweet sour cream. And on the fourth crust, put chocolate filling on top, then sweet sour cream. The cake is finally coated with whipped cream.
- From above it can be sprinkled with ground hazelnuts, ground Plasma biscuits. This time I ordered a Euro cream board.
Serving
It is good to stand for one day, and only then to serve. To absorb the bark nicely. The longer it stands, the more beautiful it is. If he manages to stand :)
