An old Hungarian cake that has taken root in the whole of Slavonia and Baranja, as well as in other regions along the Hungarian border, where no weddings, pardons, baptisms and other gatherings can take place without it. This is the first time I have made it, and although there are countless combinations and variations of this cake I have been working according to a recipe from my grandmother’s notebook with small changes of course ☺. In the original, there are walnuts and apricot jam, and since I didn't have them at the moment, I worked with roasted hazelnuts and plum jam. And I'm very pleased. The cake turned out to be a very tasty surprise, and more than I expected. I warmly recommend this combination to everyone.

At the New Year's and Christmas table in my family, small cakes always took a special and not a small place.
