Hunting cakes

They started as Hunting Kaisers by Voki Kostić, but ended up as Hunting Cakes.

Preparation steps

  • Mix and sift both types of flour, make a depression, and add melted yeast with sugar in milk, salt and cumin. Knead a homogeneous dough. Whisk the bowl and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough on the work surface, sprinkle with chopped ham and fold it. Repeat and fold twice more as if you were making puff pastry.
  • Roll out the dough and take out the cakes with a large round mold. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper or baking sheet. When you have arranged all the cakes, coat them with a bun - 150 ml of boiled water and 5 g of flour.
  • Grind pepper over the cakes and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C until the crust catches on the cakes and they get a nice color.
