GORDITAS (Mexican Corn Tortillas)
Thicker than corn tortilla mix! No sugar or milk or too much white flour goes into the mixture! These are traditional authentic Mexican tortillas and plump (gorditas)
Preparation steps
- Tortillas: Mix flour with salt and add warm water slowly. Shape into balls, roll out tortillas or, if you have a tortilla machine, put them in the middle of the ball and press!
- Gorditas: All the same as for tortillas, form larger balls (golf balls) and flatten between palms to a thickness of 1 cm!
Serving
fry dry in a pan over low heat for 10 minutes on each side, cut in half and fill with whatever you want!
