Fake baklava

One very simple recipe and tastes very similar to real baklava. An irresistible sugar bomb. :)

Preparation steps

  • Mix in one bowl eggs, 25 dkg sugar, 10 dkg walnuts or poppy seeds, 2dcl liquid yogurt, 1 dcl oil, 1 baking powder and 2 vanilla sugar,
  • Oil the pan. Stack two crusts then filling, again crusts then filling and so on until you have used up all the crusts, There must be crusts on top and not filling. lightly sprinkle on the last crusts and put in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
  • While the baklava is baking make a topping syrup. Put 30 dkg of sugar in 0.5l of water and let it boil. Remove from heat to cool. I put it in the fridge so that it is well cooled while the baklava is baking. Pour hot baklava with cold syrup and leave the syrup to absorb for 1 hour.
