Dumplings with fruit sauce

Dumplings, the recipe we suggest, can be called a child's joy, but even adults can't resist them. So we’re more than sure that sweet dumplings stuffed with plums are on your list of favorite dishes.

Preparation steps

  • Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. Add salt, butter and make a puree. Allow to cool briefly.
  • Whenthepuree has cooled a bit, add the egg and mix well. Add the flour mixed with corn starch and knead until the dough stops sticking. Add more flour as needed.
  • Divide the dough into 20 equal parts and roll them into balls.
  • Clean the plums and put a teaspoon of sugar mixed with rum sugar in each. Wrap the dough around each prepared plum and make a dumpling.
  • Put the dumplings to boil in boiling water. Cook until they float to the surface and another 2 minutes (all together about 10 minutes).
  • Fry the bread crumbs briefly in the heated oil.
  • For fruit sauce:
  • Wash strawberries and currants, put in a small bowl, add sugar, vanilla sugar and put on low heat. When it boils, cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring gently to completely disintegrate the fruit, and add a few tablespoons of water as needed.
  • Strain the sauce through a thick strainer and set aside to cool.
