Preparation steps
- Stir the yeast into a little milk and add a little sugar. Leave on warm to rise. Whisk the butter, add the egg yolk, 2 teaspoons of sugar and the remaining yeast see the picture. Pour everything into the middle of the flour and, gradually pouring lukewarm milk in which you have melted the vanilla sugar, knead a soft dough as for donuts. Mix vigorously with a ladle until the dough begins to separate from the walls of the bowl. Grease the baking tray and pour the dough evenly. Place the baking sheet in a warm place and wait for the dough to rise. Bake in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff. At the end of the beating, add 3 teaspoons of sugar, and stir for a while. Take the half-baked dough out of the oven, coat it with jam, and then see the picture with the beaten egg whites. Return to the oven and bake the cake.
- When the egg whites turn yellow, remove the cake from the oven, cool slightly, cut into cubes and serve.
