Chicken kebab from Egypt
Chicken kebab that you can easily prepare at home - in the oven or pan, the taste is almost identical to the purchase (if not better taste, because you know how much it binds food and which ingredients to put in the marinade you decide), as an addition to french fries , rice or bread - decide for yourself.
Preparation steps
- Cut one piece of chicken that you will bake in the oven into thinner slices and the other that you will fry in a pan into thicker, smaller pieces. Pour the yoghurt into a bowl and add the spices, mustard, vinegar and lemon juice. Then add the chicken. Stir it into the marinade with your fingers and leave covered in the fridge for at least an hour.
- Prepare the kebab from the oven by stabbing a wooden skewer into the onion and placing slices of marinated chicken on it. On top, more for decoration than taste, prick the tomatoes. You can also add sliced potatoes to the pan. Use baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at about 200 C.
- Kebab from the pan is easier to prepare. Arrange the marinated chicken cubes on a wooden skewer, with a few pieces of purple onion and red pepper in between. Fry on a (grill) pan on heated oil, on all sides.
