Cake for Godfather Gashaw

It is a person who has a special place in my heart, there are few like her and her family. She is currently going through very difficult moments with her husband who is seriously ill, and for now they are far from home ... and the children are alone .And so ... a couple of days ago I want to see what to make sweet to take to the kids with food, and I remember this quick and delicious cake that I haven't made in a very long time.

Preparation steps

  • Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla extract well for about 5 minutes. Add yogurt, oil and milk and stir until combined. Then add flour, thickener, baking powder, salt and cocoa and mix gently until combined. Finally add the chocolate and caramel drops and mix gently to combine.
  • Shake the mixture in a greased refractory pan measuring 40x26 cm and bake at 175 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • When the cake is almost baked, make a topping. Put sugar and milk in the sieve and stir over low heat until the sugar melts, then add the butter and stir until it melts.
  • Leave the finished cake to cool for about 5 minutes, pierce it with a fork or a wooden spoon handle and pour the hot topping over the cake. If desired, when it cools down a bit, sprinkle with coconut and walnuts.
