Preparation steps

  • In a small bowl, stir in the fresh yeast with a little warm water, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of flour. Let stand for half an hour in a warm place
  • Sift flour, baking powder and powdered sugar onto the work surface. Pour in the yeast and remaining ingredients and knead a smooth dough. Set aside for 20 minutes (in a warm place) to double the volume.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Cut it into pieces of equal size, then place a tablespoon of jam on each piece. Shape into balls. Brush them with a brush dipped in beaten egg.
  • Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 C
