Preparation steps

  • Mix the yeast with half a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of flour and milk and place in a warm place to rise. Mix the flour with the melted butter, then add the sugar, egg yolks, egg, salt and lemon zest and finally the yeast with the warm milk and knead the dough until it starts to separate from the pan.
  • Leave it for an hour to rise, then roll it out and cut into rectangles approximately 8x6 cm. Put a teaspoon of jam on each and fold into a ball.
  • Grease the sides of the protva with butter or line with baking paper, arrange the balls on it and leave to rise for another 30 minutes. Bake at 200 ° for 35-40 minutes.


Remove from the oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar!
