Preparation steps

  • Add sugar and a little flour to the lukewarm milk. Crush the germ and let it rise.
  • When the germ has risen, mix all the ingredients and knead a soft dough. If necessary, add a little more flour. The dough should be soft, but should not stick to your hands. Then put the dough in a warm place and leave it to rise for about an hour.
  • When the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface. To make it easier to handle, I suggest rolling it out in the shape of a rectangle. Then cut it into squares. Put the filling in the middle of the square as desired and connect the ends, making sure that the filling does not leak. My buns are filled with 500g of cottage cheese mixed with sugar. It is important to connect the ends as well as possible so that the filling does not leak while the buns are baking
  • Put the buns in a greased pan. When we have arranged them, cover them and let them rise a little more in the pan. Bake at 180 ° C for about 50 minutes, or until nicely browned.

Serving

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve :)
