The recipe is from one of my favorite magazines that I get regularly and the taste delighted me….
- For the biscuit, separate the egg yolks from the egg whites and make snow from the egg whites. Make zutanjke with sugar and water into a creamy mass, mix flour with e.g. for pastries and cocoa and add to the prepared egg yolks, equalize everything and finally carefully mix the egg whites. Place the mass in a round mold (26 cm) and bake for about 25 minutes at 170 degrees. Cut the cooled biscuit.
- Peel the apples and grate them. Add 3 tablespoons of lemon juice and stir. Grated apples simmer in margarine, a few minutes, add chopped almonds, syrup, sweet cream and starch flour. Mix everything well on the fire. Remove from the stove and cool.
- Schmand and yogurt, remaining lemon juice and honey mix. Melt the chocolate in a steamer, soak the gelatin in water and melt. Add the mass to the yoghurt together with the chocolate and mix well.
- Put the lower part of the biscuit in the mold, put the apple filling on it, flatten it and put the yoghurt filling on it and the other part of the biscuit on top. Leave overnight in the refrigerator. Decorating is optional.
