Mushrooms are a real treasure in the preparation of soups. While some have a favorite mushroom soup, some a mushroom one, both agree that oyster mushrooms in cream soup are a welcome refreshment. Taste it and, we are sure, you will not regret it.
- Fry the chopped onion in heated oil, add the washed and sliced oyster mushrooms. Stir briefly, pour a liter of water and cook half-covered until the oyster mushrooms soften.
- Season with and white pepper, add a little more water if necessary and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and cream to the cooked soup and add a little more salt if desired.
Serve the oyster cream soup with toasted dough balls or bread cubes.
If you are preparing the soup for the next day, store it in the refrigerator, and add the cream only after reheating.
