Preparation steps

  • Crumble fresh yeast in 50 ml of lukewarm water. Add a little flour and salt and place in a warm place.
  • When the yeast rises, mix it with flour, add oil and warm water and then knead a smooth dough.
  • Place the dough on a floured surface, cover with a heated clean cloth and leave on warm to double in volume.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing. In a suitable bowl, place the diced cheese and the olives into thin slices. Add olive oil, and sour cream and mix everything well.
  • Then knead the dough and roll it out to a thickness of 1cm. Cut eight hearts with a mold, and place the prepared stuffing on the four cut hearts. Coat the edges with beaten egg and cover with the rest of the cut dough. Squeeze the edges tightly with your fingers or fork and leave the hearts in a warm place for about 10 minutes.
  • Then place the dough hearts on a greased baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 to 200 ° C for about 20 minutes.

Serving

Serve bread hearts with tomatoes and olives stuffed with peppers. If you wish, you can cut a hole in the edges of the heart with a sharp knife and connect the two baked hearts with chives.

Advice

Before baking, you can coat the outside of the dough with the remaining beaten egg for a nicer color.
