A cake with an apple and an orange
Simply with apples.
- Prepare all ingredients to be at room temperature. Peel an apple, grate it and cut it into thin slices. Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Turn the oven to 160 degrees C to heat. Coat the cake pan with butter and line the bottom with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the butter and sugar, about 4 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and orange peel and mix briefly. Add the eggs one by one, mixing briefly. Finally add the flour alternately with the orange juice.
- Pour the dough into the prepared mold, flatten. Arrange the apple slices on top (press them into the dough a little). Sprinkle with almonds and place in a preheated oven to bake for 45min.
- Shortly before the end of baking, melt the remaining butter and mix in the sugar and cinnamon. Take the cake out of the oven and coat it with this mixture while it is still hot. Allow to cool and serve.
