A cake with a madman
Ludaja (North Banat) = pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin… Since I haven't found a similar recipe (almost unbelievable because so much is being prepared with pumpkin; maybe I just wasn't careful enough), I'll share this fragrant cake with you.

Preparation steps
- Wash, dry, cut into large pieces and bake in the oven at 200 C until it becomes completely soft. Leave it to cool, peel and darken the parts and make a puree.
- Whisk the softened butter with the sugar and eggs, add the puree and grated orange peel, and even out the mass. Add the flour little by little, without stopping the whipping. Finally, add baking powder.
- Line a 30 cm diameter baking tray with baking paper, spread the stored mass and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 30 minutes.
- Slightly chilled or quite cold cake to serve with homemade orange jam.
Serving
By adding various spices (cinnamon, cloves, lemon zest…), a cake with a new aroma was obtained. The cake can be cut and filled as desired.
